THE SOLAR SYSTEM:
THE SUN: it is a big star. It gives us heat and light. It is at the centre of the Solar System.
THE PLANETS: there are 8 planets in the Solar System: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. They move around the Sun.
ROTATION: it is the movement of the Earth on its axis. Rotation causes day and night. One rotation takes 24 hours.
REVOLUTION: it is the Earth´s movement around th Sun. Revolution causes the four seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter). One revolution takes one year (365 days).
